LUSTR Auto Detail was founded in 2007 by Ivan Rajic, a life-long car enthusiast and an extremely meticulous BMW owner. Ivan started learning about detailing through his passion to beautify and maintain the aesthetic look of his 1998 BMW 328i. Through a lot of reading and experimenting with car detailing products and techniques, Ivan quickly learned the hard way that detailing wasn't just your average wash and wax. A lot more work, knowledge and patience went into proper paint detailing and maintenance, as opposed to the cheap car detailing services offered throughout Chicagoland at the time.

With that experience and enthusiasm for perfection, Ivan started providing high quality car detailing services to Chicago's community of car aficionados. To Ivan, detailing wasn't simply labor, it was an art form. His goal was always to provide high quality car detailing services instead of focusing on quantity, thus the motto "Quality over quantity".

After its start in 2007, LUSTR quickly became the place to go for proper auto detailing services in the Chicagoland area. Whether performing a twenty hour long paint rejuvenation process for an exotic sports car or a five hour long light polishing detail on a daily driven mini van, LUSTR Auto Detail has made it a point to consistently provide outstanding results and exceed clients' expectations.

We focus on developing a process tailored specifically for each vehicle and we do so by providing a free Pre-Detail Assessment before scheduling any detailing work. During the assessment we throughly discuss the owner's concerns, assess the condition of the vehicle by inspecting the paint and measuring its thickness, and finally perform test spots on the paint. This free service is greatly appreciated by all our clients as they get to see what results can be expected before even scheduling, so they already know for what they're hiring us.
