Description: The owner of this Jetta wanted the paint perfect since the previous owner didn't take great care of it and even the hard VW clearcoat was pretty well damaged all over. The car was polished nearly to perfection using the following process:
Wash & Dry:
Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo, DI Waffle Weave Drying Towel, wheels with P21S Wheel Cleaner
Clay:
Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit
Polish:
Meguiar's #95 | LC foamed wool pad | Makita rotary @ 1500 RPM (2 passes on horizontal panels)
Meguiar's #83 | Meguiar's 8006 foam pad | Makita rotary @ 1500 RPM
Menzerna 106ff | LC white pad | Flex XC 3401 VRG orbital buffer @ speed 5
Protection layer:
Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze
Miscelaneous:
Black Magic on all exterior trim, Stoner's Invisible Glass for windows
Time:
The whole detail took a little over 10 hours.
